Alexis was born and raised in Pittsburg, Kansas, spending most of her life being discipled at PittNaz (formerly, the First Church of the Nazarene in Pittsburg). She was blessed to be raised in the Church and in a family who loved to worship Jesus through music. Alexis graduated from Pittsburg State University with a BA in Psychology and from Liberty University with a Graduate Certificate of Worship Studies. She is embarking on the journey to receive her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy through Liberty University. Before the call to lead the congregation of Living Faith Church of the Nazarene in musical worship, Alexis was a preschool teacher at the CSS Early Learning Center in Webb City, MO.
Foster, Alexis's husband, came to Christ during his sophomore year of high school and received his calling into ministry not long after, focusing on different areas such as media ministry, youth ministry, and pastoral counseling. He has received education from Southern Assembly of God University and Nazarene Bible College. Foster is currently studying to become a licensed Nutrition Coach, with which he aspires to help and encourage individuals to honor God holistically, including caring for their body as the Temple of Jesus. Foster works for the Kansas Department of Transportation. He has been involved in serving the Church through youth ministry and college ministry.
Alexis and Foster have their Local Minister's License as of 2020 and will receive their District Minister's License in 2024.
Foster and Alexis Martin were united in marriage in October 2022 and are very excited to authentically serve the people of Living Faith and the surrounding communities.
